Thousands cross lake into Uganda to escape fighting in DRC’s Ituri province

In just a few weeks, over 22,000 Congolese refugees have landed on Ugandan shores to escape ethnic fighting in DR Congo’s Ituri province. At least four Congolese refugees drowned as they were seeking safety in Uganda, after their boat capsized in Lake Albert.
